Mantis Blook in Blooket

Mantis is an Epic blook in Blooket, found in the Bug Pack with a 2.95% drop rate per opening. This insect blook sits just above the rarest Epic in the game (Pizza at 2%) and represents one of nature’s most efficient predators: the praying mantis. With no game mode presence beyond Café, Mantis is a collector’s pull, but one that arrives naturally when grinding the Bug Pack for Butterfly (Legendary, 0.5%) or Blue Butterfly (Chroma, 0.03%). Players mapping out a Bug Pack token budget can check projected rarity breakdowns at the BlooketIQ calculator.

How to Get Mantis in Blooket

Mantis drops from the Bug Pack at a 2.95% rate, one of the lower Epic rates in the game. The Bug Pack costs 25 tokens per opening and also houses Butterfly (0.5%) and Blue Butterfly (0.03%). At 2.95%, Mantis is the second-rarest Epic by drop rate, only Pizza (Breakfast Pack, 2%) is harder to pull.

Mantis in Game Modes

Mantis shows up exclusively in Café as a customer. It belongs to a small club of Epics that have zero gameplay presence outside Café, shared with Chameleon, Crocodile, and Autumn Crow.

Mantis Design & Appearance

Mantis is a light green insect with a darker green accent, yellow eyes with black pupils, and a characteristic triangular head tilted slightly upward. The colour palette mirrors real praying mantis camouflage, a green that blends into leaves and stems. Its another name referenced in the community is “Praying Mantis.”

Mantis has no Chroma reskin. The Bug Pack’s Chroma belongs to Blue Butterfly (0.03%), and there is no alternate Mantis variant anywhere in the game files.

Mantis Trivia

  1. At 2.95%, Mantis is the second-rarest Epic by drop rate, trailing only Pizza (Breakfast Pack, 2%). This makes the Bug Pack one of the tighter packs for Epic pulls among permanent packs.
  2. Mantis joins Chameleon, Crocodile, and Autumn Crow as the only Epics confined entirely to Café. Every other Epic has at least one additional game mode appearance.
  3. Real praying mantises are ambush predators capable of catching insects, small birds, and even lizards. They are the only insects that can turn their heads 180 degrees, a fact the blook’s tilted-head pose subtly references.
  4. The Bug Pack was released unannounced on March 5, 2025, one of Blooket’s quietest pack launches. It currently has the highest Uncommon drop rate of any pack at 19.625%.
  5. Mantis has no Chroma reskin and no connection to any reskin family. It exists as a standalone Epic with no variants of any kind.
  6. Epics trigger a distinct unlock animation: red confetti bursts from both sides of the screen while the blook bounces across the display before landing in the centre.
  7. Need to know how many Bug Pack openings it takes to reach a specific Butterfly or Blue Butterfly threshold? The BlooketIQ calculator runs the cumulative probability model for every pack, free to use and built independently from Blooket LLC.
