Nutcracker Koala was awarded to the top 50 players in the 2023 Contest of Candy and is now retired.
This was the hardest Chroma-tier prize in the 2023 CoC requiring competitive placement in the top 50 of the entire player base. Unlike the sticker-set-based prizes (Santa Claws through Snowy Bush Monster), Nutcracker Koala required outperforming other players rather than simply completing a collection. Only Hamsta Claus (top 3, Mystical rarity) was harder to obtain. The top 3 winners were XOTIC5, notmonkxy, and pnbw.
The 2023 CoC was the first Christmas-themed edition of the event. The top-50 Chroma prize tier replaced the 2020–2022 era’s Spooky Pumpkin (which went to top 15/25/100 depending on the year). Nutcracker Koala is a Chroma reskin of the Koala blook, an Uncommon from the Outback Pack.
The design transforms the base Koala into a nutcracker soldier a classic Christmas decoration featuring a uniformed figure with a jaw-cracking mechanism. The nutcracker theme ties into the holiday season and the famous Tchaikovsky ballet “The Nutcracker,” making this one of the most culturally referenced Chroma designs in the game.
Nutcracker Koala is the first and currently only reskin of the Koala blook. The Outback Pack’s own Chroma is Teal Platypus (0.03%) no Koala Chroma exists in the Outback Pack itself.
