Velociraptor Blook in Blooket

Velociraptor is a Rare blook in Blooket — found in the Dino Pack with a 9% drop rate per opening. In Deceptive Dinos, Velociraptor represents the +100 fossils ability — the first Rare-tier excavation and a clean 100-fossil threshold that doubles Dino Fossil’s +50 and quadruples Dino Egg’s +25. As one of only two Dino Pack Rares (alongside Brontosaurus), Velociraptor sits at the midpoint of the pack’s ascending fossil value hierarchy — below Triceratops (+250, Epic) and above Stegosaurus (+75, Uncommon). Dino Pack probability is available at the BlooketIQ calculator.

How to Get Velociraptor in Blooket

Velociraptor drops from the Dino Pack at 9% — matching Brontosaurus. The Dino Pack costs 25 tokens per opening (the only Chroma-less pack at the 25-token tier). Both Rares share equal odds below the four Uncommons (19.5% each) and above Triceratops (Epic, 3.7%).

Velociraptor in Game Modes

Velociraptor appears in 2 game modes — Deceptive Dinos and Café.

Deceptive Dinos (+100 Fossils)

Velociraptor represents +100 fossils — the first excavation to reach triple digits. With a ×1.5 multiplier it reaches +150 fossils, and with ×2 it reaches +200. In the Deceptive Dinos hierarchy, Velociraptor sits between Stegosaurus (+75, Uncommon) and Brontosaurus (+125, Rare) — offering a meaningful step up from Uncommon excavations.

Velociraptor Design & Appearance

Velociraptor depicts a small, agile dinosaur — likely inspired more by the Jurassic Park film franchise’s oversized depiction than by the actual animal. In reality, Velociraptors were roughly turkey-sized (about 2 metres long including the tail) and covered in feathers — far smaller and fluffier than their Hollywood counterpart. The Blooket version follows the film convention: a larger, scaly, featherless predator.

Velociraptor has no Chroma reskin. The Dino Pack contains no Chromas.

Velociraptor Trivia

  1. Velociraptor’s +100 fossils in Deceptive Dinos is the first excavation to reach triple digits — a clean threshold that doubles Dino Fossil (+50) and sits exactly 25 below Brontosaurus (+125).
  2. Real Velociraptors were turkey-sized (about 2 metres long, 0.5 metres tall at the hip) and covered in feathers. The large, scaly, human-height predator from Jurassic Park is actually closer to Deinonychus — a common palaeontological complaint about the franchise.
  3. The Deceptive Dinos fossil hierarchy follows a clean ascending pattern: Amber (+10) → Dino Egg (+25) → Dino Fossil (+50) → Stegosaurus (+75) → Velociraptor (+100) → Brontosaurus (+125) → Triceratops (+250) → T-Rex (+500). The jump from +125 to +250 at Epic tier is the largest gap.
  4. Velociraptor lived during the Late Cretaceous period (~75–71 million years ago) in what is now Mongolia. Its name means “swift thief” — from Latin “velox” (swift) and “raptor” (thief/plunderer).
  5. The Dino Pack is the only 25-token pack without any Chromas. Every other 25-token pack (Spooky, Blizzard, Pirate, Bug, Outback, Ice Monster) contains at least one Chroma.
  6. Deceptive Dinos is the only Blooket game mode where players can “Cheat” — pressing a cheat button reveals all rock contents, but getting caught costs a large fossil penalty. Unlike Gold Quest, there is no “lose 50%” or “Nothing!” mechanic.
  7. Chasing T-Rex at 0.3%? The BlooketIQ calculator models Velociraptor and Brontosaurus accumulation alongside the Epic and Legendary pulls — free, independently operated, no Blooket LLC connection.
